VASPA Hosts Two Educator Career Fairs Annually – One In The Fall And The Second In The Spring, Both Coincide With VASPA’s Fall And Spring Professional Development Conferences.

The VASPA Educator Career Fair creates a vibrant professional environment where candidates and recruiters can meet, interview and hire – in person and in one location. With more than 60 Virginia School Divisions represented, it is the largest career fair of its kind. This fall, the fair will be held virtually to ensure the safety of recruiters and candidates.  The fair is offered on multiple days to provide opportunities for candidates to interview with a wide variety of school divisions across the Commonwealth.  

November 17th:  Region 1 & Region 6

November 18th:  Region 4

November 19th: Region 2 & Region 5

November 20th:  Regions 3, 7, & 8 

The virtual fair will be set up via google meet, with ownership of the session being transferred to the recruiters names that are provided to us.  If you prefer, we will simply set up the date and time of the interview and allow your region to set up the interview platform within your division.  You will be allowed to choose that option when you register. 

Divisions will receive the candidate information, including google meet link with recruiter, candidate and time listed, and resumes on November 6th.  This will allow time to review the information prior to the virtual interviews and/or to allow the divisions that opt to use their own platforms to create those meeting links.  

Candidates will be provided with a map and listing of the Commonwealth's eight regions, along with links to each region.  They will be advised to review the school division websites for employment opportunities to ensure they are applying in divisions with vacancies in their endorsement areas.
